Volvo C-30 Front Mount Inter Cooler (FMIC) PDF Installation Guide Manual

Installation instructions:
A. Lift the hood, the attachment points identify and remove the bumper cover:
1. Unlocking the two Torx screws and unlock buttons at the top of the conservation of the bumper cover:
2. Unscrew and remove the (5) screws on the inside of the passenger side fender liner repeat on the driver’s side fender liner behind the bumper cover. Turn the wheel to eliminate wheel / tire as needed to expose the fender liner. Also remove any lower mounting bolt on the underside of wheel well (as at right)

Procedure: Installation of the ATP direct replacement high flow / high density front mounted intercooler fitted to the 2007 and newer Volvo C30 / S40 T5 model. Purpose of this upgrade: This upgrade ATP FMIC is fitted with a Garrett GT-spec intercooler core that is much more thermally efficient in cooling the turbo charged air than the factory FMIC. The result is a drastic reduction of the intake air temperature corresponding to a denser charge, more power, less engine knocking, the engine and greater reliability.

Preparation for this upgrade:
1. Basic tools needed such as screwdrivers and Torx bits.
2. Ability to lift vehicle or recommended by vehicle lift or jack stands to lower plastic engine access covers.

Note: This unit is designed to replace the stock unit uses the stock mounting point with new hooks, but strategically placed further forward against the bumper fascia. The plastic frame around the stock intercooler under the bumper cover is removed during installation.
