Toyota Camry Sedan Car Charging System PDF Manual Guide
The generator is a small, high speed, high performance with a type of voltage regulator integrate ed. The voltage regulator uses the integrated circuits and controls the voltage produced by the generator. When the ignition switch is turned on, flows from the battery terminal of the generator L through the voltage regulator to terminal E, causing the discharge warning light illuminates.
PRECAUTION
1. Make sure the battery cables are connected to the proper terminals.
2. Disconnect the battery cables when the battery is fast charging.
3. Do not test with a high voltage tester insulation resistance.
4. Never disconnect the battery when the engine is running.
Then, when the engine is started, the output voltage increases as the generator increases rpm. When the output voltage becomes higher than the battery voltage, current flows to recharge the terminal B. At the same time, the voltage at terminal L increases and the potential difference between battery and terminal L disappears, causing the release of the warning light goes off. When the output voltage greater than the adjustment of voltage regulator, the transistor within the voltage regulator regulates the voltage so that the voltage generator remains constant.
