With every class and style revamped and updated, Mercedes-Benz is stepping into the new model year with an excellent, all-new 2007 luxury lineup. For 2007 Mercedes-Benz returns with the second-generation M-Class. Redesigned in 2006, the ML350 remains slightly larger in nearly every dimension for greater interior space and cargo capacity. The 2007 M-Class vehicles are made with a car-like unit-body construction for improved ride and handling characteristics and increased safety.

The 2007 ML350 V-6 engine has a 3.5L capacity, and uses a 7-speed automatic transmission. The result is a more powerful engine with 268 horse
power at 6,000 rpm and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. The M-Class features 4-wheel disc brakes, aided by a 4-channel anti-lock braking system and Brake Assist (BAS). The 4ETS 4-wheel-drive system includes traction control and an electronic stability enhancement system (ESP). Dual-stage front, side-impact, and window curtain airbags as well as a rollover sensor are also standard. The M-Class also introduced the ML320 CDI diesel-powered engine for 2007.

The GL model designation echoes the legendary precursor of all Mercedes-Benz off-road vehicles — the G-Class Gelandewagen. While the GL-Class
SUV is built on a new unit-body platform, the venerable G-Class is entering its 27th year of production and will continue to be marketed beside the new GL — the first seven-passenger full-size SUV with a unit-body chassis. TheGL also comes with 18-inch, 265 / 60 all-season tires, speed-sensitive power steering, as well as height-adjustable air suspension. Inside, the GL is fitted with real wood trim, standard heated front seats with 8-way power adjustment driver seat, and a stationary rear sunroof over the third-row seats. The two third-row seats can be stowed electronically at the push of a button, either eparately or together, to provide a totally flat cargo floor. Also, for those ho tow, the GL-Class is endowed with a 7,500-lb. towing capacity.
