Honda Odysseys 2003-2005 Paint Peeling on Dark Blue PDF Service Manual
Inspect the following areas for paint problems (peeling, flaking or, in some cases on the hood and the roof, coming off in sheets):
• Roof (including under the top edge of the tailgate, under the top edge of the sliding doors, and the top panel of the sliding doors)
REPAIR PROCEDURE
NOTE: This procedure contains repair information for you and your body shop. When you send the vehicle to the body shop, give them a copy of this service bulletin. The repair is to repaint the roof (including under the top edge of the sliding door and the tailgate), the hood, the top half of the quarter panels, and the top half of the fenders.
Primer and Paint Information
The electro-deposition primer (ED primer) is the base primer before reaching bare metal. When the paint is peeled down to the ED primer, you will see a yellow color. The ED primer turns more chalky white as it is exposed to UV light.
