1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the audio unit and the navigation system, then write down the radio presets.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
3. Using a rubber mallet wrapped with a shop towel, lightly tap the area marked “SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG” on the left A-pillar trim to push in the
vehicle clip. Make sure to tap area perpendicular to the vehicle.
4. Pull away the weatherstrip and remove the left A-pillar trim (two clips).
5. Remove and discard the old clip from the left A-pillar trim, and install the new A-pillar clip to the left A-pillar trim.
6. Turn the knob and remove the driver’s dashboard under cover (one clip and two tabs). If equipped with an accessory security system, unplug the connector.
7. Remove the fuse access panel (two hooks, five tabs, and two clips. If equipped, one vehicle clip and unplug the vehicle connector).
8. Pull away the weatherstrip and remove the driver’s kick panel (two clips and two retaining tabs).
9. Remove the center console cover (three retaining tabs).
10. On M/T model, turn and remove the shift knob.
11. On A/T model, move the select lever to the “N” position, and apply the parking brake.
12. Remove the center console (two clips, remove the bolt cover then the one bolt and the one clip).
13. Pull down the left grab rail and remove two caps (two retaining tabsfor each cap).
14. Using a flat-tip screwdriver wrapped with a masking tape, remove the left grab rail (four tabs).
15. Remove the left sunvisor holder by turning it clockwise.
16. Remove the left sunvisor (one tab). To prevent damage, wrap a piece of masking tape around the end of the flat-tip screwdriver to remove.
17. Remove the right sunvisor holder by turning it clockwise. If the vehicle is equipped with the map light, continue with step 18; otherwise, go to step 20.
18. Remove the left and right map light lens (eight retaining tabs).

20. Using a scissors, cut out the template as shown. 892901BB
21. Align the template to the front edge of the headliner and attach it with pieces of masking tape.
