Honda Civic Si and Acura RSX Icebox Cold Air Intake PDF Installation Manual


Thank you for purchasing the Comptech icebox cold air for 2002-2003 Honda Civic Si-and from 2001 to 2003 Acura RSX. All components are designed and manufactured using the latest technologies and materials. Comptech recommends that you read these instructions carefully before starting the installation and use of an Acura Factory Shop Manual supplement these instructions.

All Comptech products are intended to be installed by a professional installer. Always use jackstands to support the vehicle when a car lift is not available. Always work in a clean and use appropriate safety equipment to avoid any damage or injuries.

Step # 1 Remove Stock airbox
• Before disconnecting the battery detect radio code to reactivate the radio after installation. (write pre-set channels for later use)
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
• Remove the battery positive terminal, tie locking down the battery and plastic tray.
• Remove engine cover about throttle body intake (A).
• Remove the stock air filter box and lid.
• Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor, remove upper intake tube and clamps (B).
• Remove the mounting bolts and nut air box. Rotate air box back and forth. Remove rubber grommets and bushings stepped from stock air box *.
• Lower Remove suction tube from the air by removing bolt securing radiator support cross above the cooling fan.
• Remove the ground strap bracket on the side of transmission (C). Replace the ground strap from transmission upper bracket for the transmission of data (D).
