Before Getting Started
Enhanced Honda gives you access to systems not available for generic OBD-II. Honda better option is an add-on to AutoEnginuity ScanTool. Offer this support to strengthen Honda Honda uses a proprietary built-in power-in AutoEnginuity Enhanced interface. Given the complexity of electrical interfaces, currently we are obliged to give Honda its own support for the hardware outside the OBD-II interface.
Make sure that your ScanTool program is already installed correctly and that a better option (s) are activated. Your visit ScanTool User Guide for instructions if necessary.

Connecting to the car
WARNING: DO NOT USE WITHOUT POWER INVERTER “isolated ground” With USB product is connected to your vehicle. GROUND LOOP may occur 1st Start software ScanTool. 2nd Connect AutoEnginuity enhanced interface for computer equipment. (No device drivers are needed because the device is Plug and Play. Your operating system will provide this support.)
3rd Connect AutoEnginuity enhanced interface for your vehicle DLC. (See your ScanTool User’s Guide if you need help finding places DLC).
4th Look at the light at the back of AutoEnginuity enhanced interface for proper function. Red LED means that there is sufficient power for the operation of hardware interfaces. Yellow / Yellow LED (USB version) is used to determine whether the hardware device successfully enumerated the operating system. Finally, the green LED means the exchange of data between hardware device and computer equipment.
5th ScanTool now be attached to the vehicle. If you do not see the connection screen, press F2 or select car | Connect.
6th Once connected to the vehicle, will require ScanTool choose vehicle model information. Selecting this information correctly is very important to obtain reliable data. If the vehicle VIN is decoded, this information should no longer be for you. Even so, it is necessary to verify all selections if the VIN can not be completely decoded. (Please note that Honda VINS are only available on some models after 2001 and all models after 2005.)
7th Select your system. By default, the chosen system is Enhanced Powertrain.
8th Click OK when the vehicle model and information system are selected.
9th Connect phase will finish reading the error codes from all vehicle systems present. This may take up to 30 seconds.
10th Congratulations, you are now connected to Honda!
