Notes: ~ Make sure you read the instructions completely, from beginning to end before the beginning of each work ~ Unless otherwise stated, the reuse of existing hardware ~ Possession or access to a 2000 Focus workshop manual or equivalent is highly recommended ~ All work must be performed by a qualified technician. ~ LCR camber plates are designed to fit standard components. The use of some aftermarket shocks, may require the need to modify or replace the motorist collets, to achieve proper installation. Installation: Step 1 Install strut assembly into vehicle with 3 nuts with 13 mm socket. Step 2 Install the knuckle/hub assemblies on to the front struts and torque the strut to knuckle bolts to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft) = 15 mm socket. Step 3 Fit the half shaft through the hub, install the hub retaining nut and torque to 316 Nm (233 lb-ft). Step 4 Fit the lower ball joint stud into the knuckle, reinstall the bolt and torque the bolt
to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft). Step 5 Reinstall ABS sensor wire if removed. Step 6 Reinstall the tie rod ends into the knuckles and torque the nuts to 47 Nm
(35 lb-ft) Step 7 Reinstall sway bar end link nut to 50 Nm (37-lb-ft)

Step 8 Install the wheels and torque the wheel nuts to 135 Nm (94 lb-ft.) and test drive vehicle. Step 9 The vehicle is now ready to be wheel aligned. Simply loosen the flange nuts in the engine bay, and the strut is free to move inside the adjustment window. Set alignment and tighten 3 flange nuts to 24 Nm – 18 Ft/Lbs. Step 10 Road test vehicle and recheck all work that has been performed correctly. Retorque flange nuts to 24 Nm – 18 Ft/Lbs after 250 miles.
