Ford Focus 2005-2007 Gauge Faces PDF Installation Manual

g4y3ikvbm7 This is only a guideline for the exchange of meter stands on the Ford Focus. Please do not hold me responsible for everything that can go wrong while these guidelines. These instructions are only for entertainment use. If you learn something from these guidelines, congratulations.

1. The panel below the steering wheel must be removed. This is a panel to which the hood release is attached. Once this has been removed, you can access the bolts along the bottom of the panel, which is surrounded by a gauge cluster. Do not forget to bolt through which the light switch. Once the bolt was removed by shaving, grab piece of trim around the cluster and pull it toward you. The whole piece will unclip and separated from the dashboard. Unclip trunk / hatch release button (if fitted). Now you can access the screws that hold the cluster in the dash.

2. Remove the 4 screws holding the cluster in the dash. Reach around the back and disconnect the electrical connection. You will lose the path information odometer, odometer mileage but will not be lost.
3. Clear windows and black bezel on the front of the cluster are glued together and separated from the cluster when you search for 4 clips. Once bezel is removed you will see the whole gauge face.

4. Mark the location of needles on their current position felt tipped pen on the white part of the cluster. Using a standard plug, remove the gauge needles. Here is a video on how to do it: click here
5. At this point, it is stock gauge face to be removed. It is glued on a transparent plastic frame. If you can fork the face and frame, you can very quickly. The stock gauge face should now be exempt from the cluster.

6. If you replace the face, and not on upgrading lighting, go to Step 10 There are 5 Torx screws located around the perimeter of the clear plastic. You will have to come out. This will allow the assumption of clear plastic. Now the white plastic frame (I painted silver mine in the photo below), which you can see, must be removed from the cluster. This requires disassembly of the entire cluster. Do not worry, it’s actually quite simple. From the back of the pool you will see a few clips that hold everything together.

There could be one or two screws Torx there you are not sure, based on model year. You’ll need to remove circuit boards from the white plastic frame in order to make the necessary adaptations. This is due to the fact that in some places the cluster is not deep enough to seat belts to be installed in a location that is necessary to obtain even lighting. If the belt is mounted far enough from the center of gauges, lights can be easily spotted, and nobody wants that.
