Ford F250 4WD Suspension Lift Installation Instructions Kit
PRE-INSTALLATION NOTES
1. Performance Automotive Group Systems do not incorporate components to accommodate extended cab and/or two piece driveshafts unless otherwise stated. Post installation the vehicle may experience driveline vibrations. Driveline angles may require tuning, slider on shaft may require replacement, shafts may need to be lengthened, shafts may need trued, and U-joints may require frequent replacement. Performance Automotive Group systems are not recommended for vehicles with 13 inch or shorter drive shafts.
2. Ride Height and vehicle attitude, ie; rake or tail drag may vary from vehicle to vehicle. Original equipment options and aftermarket accessories alter the vehicle’s front sprung weight. The F2502 system is designed to accommodate the majority of Ford F250 vehicles sold. Setting of spring components is normal. Performance Automotive Group cautions you n regards to your choice of tire size and initial clearnces. Settling of spring components may occur and slightly diminished clearances will be observed. Normal settling is not covered under your warranty. Vehicles subjected to long term over weight situations may experience an abnormal amount of spring component settling.
3. This system does not include components to accommodate vehicles equipped with ABS brakes.
4. Special literature or tools required: OE service manual for model/year of vehicle. Refer to OE manual for proper disassembly and reassembly procedures of OE, and related components. Additional tools unique to installation are mentioned in the following instructions.
5. Adhere to recommendations when replacement fasteners, retainers, and keepers are called out in OE manual. This system may not include all replacement fasteners recommended by the OE manual. Additional replacement fasteners should be obtained prior to installation of system.
6. Compare parts included in your system with the enclosed parts list at the end of these instructions. Placing hardware with components before you start may reduce installation time. Contact your Performance Automotive Group dealer if any parts are…
7. Clamp spring packs using two good C-clamps. Remove OE center pins. Carefully relieve tension in springs. Install Add-A-Leafs using short component on bottom, with clips up, and longer Add-A-Leaf above. Retain leaf assembly using replacement center pin. Note: It may be necessary to remove OE spring clips if interference exists when installing the Add-A-Leaf assembly. Using 3” long spacer, 3/8” x 4” bolts & hardware, assemble spring clips on lower replacement leaf to retain pack assembly.
8. Align center pins and holes in axles. Secure spring assemblies to axles using U-bolts, washers, and high nuts provided.
9. Mount sway bar drop brackets to frame using OE fasteners. Position lower flanges on drop brackets forward of upper flanges. Re-mount sway bar to drop brackets using 3/8” x 1” bolts & hardware. Note: Slight forward or rearward adjustment of drop brackets and/or sway bar may be necessary to eliminate interferences.
10. Install recommended Trail Master shock absorbers. Install wheels and tires. Lower vehicle. Jounce vehicle to normalize suspension. Torque axle pivot bolts to spec.
11. Adjust cross link to center steering wheel. Perform a steering sweep to ensure brake hose is safely/properly located.
