Ford Contour QuickLIFT PDF Installation Guide

Step 1 – Unpack QuickLIFT kit and verify contents.
Remove all items from the packing tube. You should have the following before beginning:
* [Group 1 - Fender] (2) shorter fender Ball-studs & (4) washers with (2) nuts.
* [Group 2 - Hood] (2) Ball-studs with 12 mm fitting & (2) washers.
* [Group 3 - Gas Springs] (4) Locking clips
* (2) QuickLIFT Gas Springs
* Printed Instructions

Step 2 – Gather required tools.
Please gather the following tools before you begin the installation:
* Power Drill
* 5/16 drill bit.
* 1/2″ open ended wrench.
* 1/2″ deep well socket.
* 12 mm open ended wrench or socket wrench.
* 10 mm open ended wrench or socket wrench.
* Fine permanent marker
* Center punch & hammer – optional.

Step 3 – Move coolant reservoir.
A. Prop your hood using stock prop rod. We will be moving the coolant reservoir out of our way in order to mount the passenger side
fender ball stud – do not remove the coolant hose! 10mm socket wrench, remove the
C. Using a two bolts as shown in the Figure to the right.
D. The reservoir will now move freely – do not move beyond its limits or remove hoses.

Step 4 – Mark hole center for passenger side fender ball stud.
A. Using your permanent marker, measure 1-1/4″ to the left of the fender bolt shown in the picture below – or locate a point between the bolt and fender hole.
B. Mark the spot where the hole is to be drilled.
