Ferrari F430 200 Cell High Flow Catalytic Converter PDF Installation Instructions

The F430 is a very easy car to work on. Ferrari simplified everything in comparison to F360 and earlier cars. Ferrari really made working on F430 much easy than earlier cars. Install List:
1. Remove rear undercar diffuser/ hatch cover that is located underneath the rear bumper. You will need a 10mm hex head socket and allen socket. You NOW have complete access to your F430 exhaust system.
2. Open rear glass decklid and using a 13mm socket remove the bolts on each side of the muffler flange] lift out muffler and put aside.
3. Cover the F430 exhaust tips with bubble wrap or a soft cloth to protect the paint in the tip body outlets.
4. Remove both F430 rear wheels and then remove rear plastic covers that are held on with screws. This gives you complete access to the exhaust tips.
5. From under the car remove 4 13mm nuts on the brackets that hold the exhaust tips in place. Then remove the 3 bolts on the back of the transmission that allow you to lift out the complete muffler bracket assembly. Put aside.
6. Loosen and remove the bolts that retain the left and right brackets on the side of the transmission.
7. With a 22mm or 7/8 wrench loosen and unscrew the left and right oxygen sensors.

8. Using a 13mm socket and extension unbolt the 3 bolts that connect the catalytic converters to the headers. Save the hardware and try not to drop anything under the engine. IF you drop anything get a long flexible magnet at any auto parts store.
9. Reverse the process to install your Maxflo high performance catalytic converters.
10. Put antiseize lubricant on all the hardware. Use Locktite on the rear diffuser bolts. Ferrari used Blue locktite/ thread locker.
