Ducati 2003 ST4s Timing Belt Adjustment PDF Manual
This instruction on cam adaptation begins as soon as you remove the pieces of fairing. Plan an hour to remove them. Because you do your service, buying Ducati belts May not be expensive. May it be another source of belt, but I have not confirmed this 996 for driving the 02-03 ST4s.
1) Ensure maximum ½ tank of gas. Fuel leak in the charcoal cartridge, and then on the floor if the tank is full and more than half of the shell is tilted on its hinge. As a result, the tank on its hinges.
2) Remove the spark plug. Cover wells with boots candle or rags. It’s the perfect time to launch these champions of a set of NGK’s DCPR8E.
3) Remove the front of the horizontal cylinder head.
4) Remove the lid Riders crankshaft crank LH side and insert tool. A tool handle may be made by following the drawing at the end of this document. See Figure 2 above. The flat head screws are used to mild type of attention to their removal.
5) Remove the unit oil pressure sending wire and remove the oil sending unit. No oil should be paid.
6) Remove the battery and remove the mounting bolts of the battery box of engine / chassis. You can leave the battery dangle or partially support by an elastic cord. Beware the cable on the ground of the ECU. Swinging the battery too much stress can be placed on the connectors and cables that you do not want to solve an electrical problem intermittent.
7) Remove the cam belt covers. Both covers the cams are real easy. The center is removed by pulling it down. May you want to move some pipes and cables of the track because it is a tight fit. Remove sending unit oil pressure gave permission for the removal. Fig 1 shows bike ready to be worked.
