Dee Zee 500745 Grille Guard PDF Installation Instructions

Parts List:
QTY:1 – Black Grillguard
QTY:2 – Mounting Brackets
QTY:2 – ½ x 5 ½” Hex Head Bolts
QTY:8 – ½ x 1 ½” Hex Head Bolts
QTY:10 – ½” Hex Nuts
QTY:20 – ½” Flat Washers

Installation Instructions:
1 – Read and understand instructions completely before beginning this installation.
2 – Locate the towhook mounting bolts and remove them along with the towhook on the vehicle. Note: The towhook will not be reused.
3 – Place the mounting brackets up to the vehicle frame as shown in the drawing below.
4 – Secure the upper hole in the mounting bracket to the vehicle frame using ½ x 5 1/2” hex head bolts, ½” flat washers, and ½” hex nuts. Note: The ½ x 5 ½” hex head bolts will go completely through the vehicle frame.
5 – Secure the bottom hole in the mounting bracket to the vehicle frame using ½ x 1 ½” hex head bolts, ½” flat washers, and ½” hex nuts.
6 – Place the grillguard up to the vehicle and secure the bottom of the grillguard to the mounting brackets using ½ x 1 ½” hex head bolts, ½” flat washers, and ½” hex nuts.
7 – Make any final adjustments to the alignment of the grillguard on the vehicle and then tighten all of the fasteners until snug.
8 – You may need to periodically re-tighten the fasteners on your grillguard.

Dee Zee products have a high quality finish that must be cared for like any other exposed finish on the vehicle. Protect the finish with a non-abrasive automotive wax, (e.g. Pure Carnauba) on a regular basis. The use of any soap, polish, or wax that contains an abrasive is detrimental to the finish, as the compounds scratch the finish and cause corrosion.
