GM Daewoo will begin sales of the new Winstorm SUV driven by a gasoline engine on February 2, 2009. With his quiet but powerful engine, the newest family member Winstorm offers abundant comfort and safety. The Winstorm DOHC 2.4-liter engine produces uniformly long career max torque at low and high speeds.

The engine is paired with an efficient five-speed automatic transmission as standard. It also has a very spacious interior. In addition to a standard five seats, a seven-seat model is also available. This is the first SUV from gasoline sold in Korea.

Rick LaBelle, GM Daewoo Vice President of Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing, said: “The gasoline model GM Daewoo Winstorm reinforce the line of SUVs, which currently consists of the Winstorm diesel and Winstorm MAXX. This will give local consumers a wider range of SUVs from which to choose. “
