Chevy Colorado 2004-2006 Brute Force Intake PDF System Manual Installation


Getting started a) Make sure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface. Set the parking brake. b) Disconnect the negative battery terminal from the battery. c) If the engine is to run the last two hours, let it cool.

Installing the AEM Brute Force Intake a) When you install a cold air intake system, do not fully tighten the hose clamps or mounting tab hardware until told to do so later in these instructions. a) Install the included rubber mount further AEM heat shield included for each one of the washers and Locknuts. b) Install the AEM heat shield, with two supplied bolts and washers, and the original air box, Mounting Nut. Install a rubber edge to cut the top and the heat shield.

Removing stock intake system. a) Before removing any O.E. parts, label each part so that the parts must be mixed during the installation.
b) Disconnect the wiring harness from the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. Remove the two screws on the MAF sensor to maintain and carefully remove the MAF sensor c) Remove the hose clamp the stock exchange without the box. Remove the air box by removing two bolts and nut to ensure it. Lift the air out of the box from the vehicle. d) Loosen the hose clip is attached to the throttle body intake resonator position. Remove the small vent hose attached to the front resonator. e) Remove the two bolts securing the valve cover is a resonator. Lift the resonator, and disconnect the vent hose from the valve cover and remove the resonator. f) Remove the rubber vent hose adapter to plug into hard plastic vent hose by gently pulling it out and hold the hard plastic line.
