Service Intervals Metro Replace transaxle fluid every 12,000 miles in short trip driving conditions. Under the long journey driving conditions, change fluid every 30,000 miles. Prizm In normal driving conditions, no fluid changes are necessary. In severe driving conditions, change fluid every 30,000 miles or 24 months.

All other models Fluid replacement is not necessary. Check the fluid level in each of Engine oil change. Fluid Level Control Saturn (MP2 and MP3) Park vehicles on the level surface. Check the level of cold liquid. Fluid should be at full mark on the dipstick. Drain plug is below the dipstick tube.
CAUTION: The Camaro and Firebird T5 (M49) 5-speed transmission, error did not reverse the shift lever pivot bolt (located on the left side of the gearbox) with filler. Drain and fill plugs is on the right side of the gearbox. If reverse pivot bolt is loosened, the return spring can fall into the case, causing 2nd gear rattle.

All other models Check the oil level in the filler plug hole in the side of the transmission. Lubricant should be level with bottom of fill hole plug. Add lubricant necessary. Install fill plug and tighten to specifications.
