This is meant to be a basic installation guide, as easy as the kit is to install, some mechanical experience is necessary. If you don’t feel comfortable in removal and reinstallation of engine components, then perhaps it is best left for someone with more experience. A Robert Bentley Manual for your particular car is recommended, not only for this installation but is an invaluable resource. It will explain, in detail and with illustrations each area that is involved with this installation. Identify all parts prior to installation, this will make things easier.
Finally the procedure we have all been waiting for: the “A4 Timing Belt Procedure”, including the automatic and manual transmission differences. Some people have argued till they are blue in the face that “mark and pray” was the easiest way to change one of these belt, and it has been proven that this belt can be changed in under 2 hours using the full factory method as demonstrated here in this thread. The procedure utilizes all the factory tools and processes. The reason for going to the extreme of utilizing all the tools is the elimination of all possibilities of making a $2500.00+ mistake and destroying the head. You do not need many tools to complete this job. What you do need is a thorough understanding of
the procedure and what you are about to accomplish

It’s interesting that Volkswagen, the creator of the original minivan, has teamed up with Chrysler, the creator of the modern minivan, to build the new Routan. But why has VW joined the minivan parade at this late date? Haven’t these seven-pas- senger rigs seen their best days? Perhaps, but while minivan sales have declined of late and their are fewer players in the game (both Ford and General Motors have folded their cards), there are still plenty of dedicated category customers out there who would never consider driving anything else.
PowerBOX (power modules) belong to the category of products, which modify controlling signals and sensor signals outside the engine computer
(ECU). They have been designed to emulate the chip tuning effects. Such modifications may be performed in certain situations, e.g. whenever the car computer is a non-reprogrammable type. The Diesel PowerBOX works with Diesel engines of the following types: Common Rail, VP-37, VP-44, PD and NipponDenso. We offer over 20 Power-Box models equipped with factory plugs, which service several hundred car models of the largest car manufacturers from Europe, USA, Japan and Korea.
There’s a button on the dash of this Astra VXR. A inger hovers over it. ‘You ready for Sport mode yet?’ asks my passenger. ‘Suppose so,’ I reply. After all, what harm can it do? Might sharpen up the throttle a bit. The LED glows orange. I give the right-hand pedal a prod. Yep, that’s bett… there’s a frantic izzing up front, like someone’s dropped a giant Alka-Seltzer in the engine bay. The steering wheel jolts violently left then right.
I back off. ‘What the hell happened there?’ I venture.
