Warning! Improper cable connection may result in short circuits, which can cause:
• Cable Fires
• Damage to electronic control equipment
• Failure of electrical functions
• Failure of engine
The securest form of connection is by soldering the cables and then insulation the connection. Because of the risk of short circuits, always disconnect the negative pole of the battery before starting installation.
Welcome to the growing family of LOCK-RIGHT owners! This manual will help you install your new LOCK-RIGHT automatic 100% full-locking differential. When the installation is complete, your vehicle will have extreme traction! We trust that you will be pleased with its performance and thank you for your confidence in our products. LOCK-RIGHT installation simply involves disassembling and re-assembling the differential case, replacing a few parts in the process. These instructions are detailed to the point that a person who is reasonably familiar with automotive work can install a LOCK-RIGHT into a third member in about three to four hours; please read them carefully before you start to be sure that you thoroughly understand them. Do not attempt shortcuts unless you know exactly what you are doing. These instructions also assume that you have the proper shop manual for reference to instructions about axle removal,
Suzuki DL650 and DL1000 V-Strom Installation guidelines:
1. Use Loc-tite on all nuts and bolts. Torque the 6mm bolts to 6ft. lbs.
2. Review all the photos first so you get a good idea of how this installation proceeds.
3. Remove the seat and or review your DL Owner’s Manual on a step by step of how to “Prop up” the gas tank.
4. Remove the beauty cover on the front of the fuel tank by removing the (2) pushpin fasteners. Using a ball point pen, push on the center of these “push tab retaining plungers” just enough to release the tension on the expanded plastic and then remove the whole retainer, by pushing it out from the backside. It comes out as one piece, center pin included. It reinstalls when finished, in the reverse fashion.
5. Remove the dark-plastic-fuel-tank side panels on each side of the tank.
Suzuki Marauder VZ800 cam installation: First read this procedure over a couple times and assemble the tools and things you will need before jumping in. Approximate time needed: about 4 to 5 hours (if you have some help) 7 to 8 hours estimated if you are doing it solo. Tools needed: Service manual,standard hand tools, metric sockets, metric end wrenches, feeler gauge set, straight and phillips screwdrivers, needlenose pliers, metric allen wrenches,1 1/4″ or 32mm socket, Black silicone… A pan to catch the coolant…clean rags to stuff in intake ports… I also used a 1/2″ drive 18V impact wrench, and a 1/4″ electric “impact” ratchet… and you REALLY ought to have a torque-wrench, because you have to pull 3 head bolts on each head to get the top-section off…

Safety equipment includes dual front, side and side-curtain airbags, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, stability control, five head restraints and good headlights. Front and side visibility is very good, but poor rear and three-quarter-rear visibility make it difficult to judge distances when backing up.
ALARM/SIREN Position the compact alarms and the sirens on the bulkhead that divides the engine compartment and the passenger’s compartment.
POSITION Pass the cables using the original core hitch located in the zone between the servobrake and the original big rubber cables.
CENTRAL UNIT POSITION Position the modular systems and the modules under the dashboard, driver’s side.
