Step One Remove the old top and orient the Sport Bar Retainer on the vehicle. Align the retainer with the rear edge of the Sport Bar. Use the retainer as a tem- plate to mark the locations of the five holes in the retainer. Center punch and drill five 5/32″ holes at these locations. Installation:
IMPORTANT! The lightbar should be located a minimum of 16″ from any radio antennas! This mounting clamp will mount to your Grand Vitara’s roof rack using the supplied mounting hardware. The lightbars mounting foot will mount to the bracket. It is recommended that two people do the installation as you will need to adjust both sides of the brackets and feet once it is on the vehicle.
1. First mount the two mounting feet onto the lightbar as shown in the instructions included with the lightbar. Do not fully tighten the mounting hardware as it will need to be adjusted once it is on the vehicle. You will also need to remove the two outer rubber pads and their guide darts from both feet to accomodate the bracket.
2. Mount the supplied gaskets to both the clamp(s) and bracket(s). The gasket should be applied to the side of the bracket that comes in contact with the vehicle as shown above.
3. Mount both brackets to the roof rack as shown and secure them loosely enough so they slide back and forth so you can adjust them later. The brackets should be mounted as far forward (toward the front of the vehicle) as possible, but not past the seam on the roof rack. Also be sure that the brackets are both mounted the same distance from the front of the vehicle.
4. Now take the lightbar (with both mounting feet loosely mounted to it) and place it onto the brackets so the bolt head on the bracket goes through the hole in the mounting foot that you removed the guide darts from.
5. Adjust both the brackets and mounting feet to the desired mounting position (refer to the manual that comes with the lightbar for any warnings on positioning the lightbar) then secure the mounting feet to the lightbar.
6. Adjust the two brackets so they are in the desired mounting position and tighten the brackets mounting hardware to secure them to the roof rack. IMPORTANT: Be sure to tighten the bracket mounting hardware enough to secure the brackets firmly, but be careful not to over tighten and damage the roof rack. Read more...

Suzuki DL650 and DL1000 V-Strom Installation guidelines:
1. Use Loc-tite on all nuts and bolts. Torque the 6mm bolts to 6ft. lbs.
2. Review all the photos first so you get a good idea of how this installation proceeds.
3. Remove the seat and or review your DL Owner’s Manual on a step by step of how to “Prop up” the gas tank.
4. Remove the beauty cover on the front of the fuel tank by removing the (2) pushpin fasteners. Using a ball point pen, push on the center of these “push tab retaining plungers” just enough to release the tension on the expanded plastic and then remove the whole retainer, by pushing it out from the backside. It comes out as one piece, center pin included. It reinstalls when finished, in the reverse fashion.
5. Remove the dark-plastic-fuel-tank side panels on each side of the tank. Read more...
Suzuki Marauder VZ800 cam installation: First read this procedure over a couple times and assemble the tools and things you will need before jumping in. Approximate time needed: about 4 to 5 hours (if you have some help) 7 to 8 hours estimated if you are doing it solo. Tools needed: Service manual,standard hand tools, metric sockets, metric end wrenches, feeler gauge set, straight and phillips screwdrivers, needlenose pliers, metric allen wrenches,1 1/4″ or 32mm socket, Black silicone… A pan to catch the coolant…clean rags to stuff in intake ports… I also used a 1/2″ drive 18V impact wrench, and a 1/4″ electric “impact” ratchet… and you REALLY ought to have a torque-wrench, because you have to pull 3 head bolts on each head to get the top-section off… Read more...
