FOR LEXUS LX470, Skip step #1 and moved to step #2 On the 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser, begin by removing the air vent and bezel on the right side of the radio using the Dash Trim tool. Insert the Dash Trim tool behind the upper right corner to release the first clip, working the remaining clips loose. Disconnect all wiring and set the bezel aside. Move to step #3 On the Lexus LX 470, use the Dash Trim Panel tool to remove the bezel that surrounds the tape player and radio. Note: See the first picture. Work the top of the bezel loose, then continue with the bottom of the bezel where there are three plas- tic clips to release.

Insert the Dash Trim Tool in the lower left corner of the gear shifter bezel and carefully pry upward to release the first clip. Work the rest of the bezel loose with the trim tool releasing the remianing three (3) clips. Set the bezel aside Skip to Step 5 on the following page if you have not yet formed the bracket to fit your vehicle.
PRE-CHECK
1. DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
(a) Check the indicator. When the ignition switch is turned ON, check that the ABS warning light goes on for 3 seconds.
HINT: If the indicator check result is not normal, proceed to trouble-shooting for the ABS warning light circuit (See page DI-317).
(b) In case of not using LEXUS hand-held tester: Check the DTC.
(1) Disconnect the short pin from DLC1.
(2) Using SST, connect terminals Tc and E1 of DLC2 or DLC1. SST 09843-18020
(3) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(4) Read the DTC from the ABS warning light on the combination meter.
HINT: If no code appears, inspect the diagnostic circuit or ABS warning light circuit (See page DI-317 or DI-322). As an example, the blinking patterns for normal code and codes 11 and 21 are shown on the left.
(5) Codes are explained in the code table on page DI-271.
(6) After completing the check, disconnect terminals Tc and E1, and turn off the display. If 2 or more malfunctions are indicated at the same time the lowest numbered DTC will be displayed 1st.

The Lexus LF-A supercar is on, says Toyota Motor Corp. President and CEO Akio Toyoda, who also reveals an “affordable” sports car is on tap.
Toyoda says the auto maker “will soon bring to market” the LF-A, although he doesn?t say what countries will retail the model. The LF-A has appeared in concept form at various auto shows in recent years.
