INSTALLATION STEPS
1) Remove lower plastic fascia from Honda (Remove all push button fasteners with screw driver).
2) Mark on the inside of the lower fascia 1 1/2″ up from the center of the slots as shown in the diagram above.
3) Remove the 4 existing 12mm fasteners holding the stiffening arms to the bumper beam.
4) Slide hitch into modified fascia with tail plate above the fascia.
5) Raise hitch and fascia to vehicle, slide hitch flanges in between bumper beam and the bumper supports aligning the holes.
6) Loosely install 12mm fasteners with conical tooth washers on front holes.
7) Fishwire 7/16″ bolts and spacers through round support beam and into slotted hole (the fishwire will be just long enough to reach) and attach with flange nuts.
NOTE: The square hole spacers MUST lie in support beam length wise so the bolts penetrate far enough through the hitch.
Torque all 7/16″ fasteners to 50 lb-ft and all 12mm fasteners to 65 lb-ft.
9) Re-install plastic fascia with push button fasteners.
Things you should know about this swap. The following is a list of information you should know before performing this swap.
1. Ground and hood clearance – The J-series engine is a tall engine. It is much taller than the H22 and K-series engines. The J-series engine if mounted with normal clearance would stick up several inches above the hood line. This kit is designed to mount a J32A2 engine as low as is practical for a street driven car. The oil pan hangs significantly below the subframe of the car and may hit the ground or other objects during normal driving. Hasport makes no claims as to the drivability of your car with this engine.
2. At this time, Hasport does not make a conversion engine harness for the swap.
3. Power Steering – The Honda Civic/CR-X power steering hose will not work with the J-series power steering pump. If you wish to have power steering, a new power steering hose needs to be made.
4. AC – To retain AC, you will need an AC compressor from a J-series engine and have custom AC lines made to fit the car.
5. Shift mechanism – The 03-07 manual transmission shift mechanism and cables from the V6 equipped Accord can be used to operate the TL and Honda Accord J-series manual transmissions. The 2003 Acura CL Sport 6 speed transmission can also be used with some modification to the transmission. A boss on the transmission will have to be drilled and tapped.
6. Cooling and radiator – The engine has been moved forward for axle-subframe clearance. The stock radiator mount location no longer works. Fabrication and possibly a custom radiator may be required.
7. Clutch Actuation – You will need to purchase a hydraulic clutch adapter like the Hasport Clutch Master Adapter to convert the cable clutch actuation of the 88-91 Civic or CRX for use with the V^’s hydraulic clutch.
8. Fuel line and regulator – Some of the J-series engines have a fuel pressure regulator located in the fuel tank and some are located on the fuel rail. If your engine came from a vehicle with the pressure regulator in the tank, one will need to be added to the fuel system the same way you would for a K-series swap.
9. Alternator – The J-series alternator sits up high on the front of the engine and will interfere with the headlamp of the Honda CR-Z. Either a new set of alternator mounts will need to be frabricated or the headlamp and headlapm housing will need to be modified.
The Acura RDX is a premium crossover SUV designed for sporty driving. It features a 240-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a five-speed automatic with paddle shifters, and a firm independent suspension made for winding roads.
The 2010 Acura RDX offers a choice of front-wheel drive or Acura’s proven Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system, called SH-AWD. The all-wheel-drive system delivers a higher proportion of power to the outside rear wheel under hard cornering, thus keeping the car balanced and enhancing cornering performance. The front-wheel-drive version gets better fuel economy (by about 2 mpg) and lowers the purchase price $2000.

Hybrid cars are bought by two groups of customers. The first consists of idealists who want to save the world by driving an environmentally-friendly vehicle. The second group is made up of business men who mainly want to save their own wallet. Now Honda thinks it has found a third group, because thanks to hybrid drive, the Honda CR-Z Electrifying Hybrid is supposed to offer extra driving pleasure. Is this green sports car actually electrifying?
Inspect the following areas for paint problems (peeling, flaking or, in some cases on the hood and the roof, coming off in sheets):
• Roof (including under the top edge of the tailgate, under the top edge of the sliding doors, and the top panel of the sliding doors)
Before You Start
For the initial setup of the Honda Teradyne GNA600, the latest version of HDS software must be installed on the host PC. We strongly recommend using the USB PC Interface Cable (TDS35525406) as your wired connection to the GNA600. The correct device drivers for the USB PC Interface Cable are included with the HDS software. If an Ethernet cable is used for your wired connection, you will need to do extra steps. NOTE – Setup of the GNA600 connection is fully automatic if you have the correct drivers from the HDS software installed, use the USB PC Interface Cable, and carefully follow the set up instructions. If you use an Ethernet cable, you must do a manual setup of the GNA600 connection (see section 5.4).
Trailer Hitch Installation
1. Open the tailgate.
2. Remove the clip (A) and screw from the rear fender arch molding. Release the seven retaining clips and the two retaining clips (large) of the
rear fender arch molding. Slide the rear fender arch molding outward.
• Insert the shop towel between the rear fender arch molding and the rear fender.
3. Repeat the procedure on the other side.
