Few alterations were made to the Long Nose bodywork, the most obvious change having been a hood blister to accommodate the carburettor’s air cleaner. Engine and drive train
Engine torque curves have been carefully estimated, and our approach was well validated late in development when we got our hands on a real dyno plot for a 1992 Lamborghini F1 engine. The 3.5 liter engines of this era were notably more torquey than the much smaller, and higher revving F1 engines of present-day. Rather than keeping the revs high and riding the rev-limiter exiting corners, you may have to adopt a different driving style than what you may be accustomed to from present-day F1 mods. The manual- transmission cars will tend to reward you more for selecting a higher gear and relying on the out-of-tune range of the torque curve to pull you through the corner. Gear changes will cost you much more time, so they are something to be avoided, unless you are driving the Ferrari or Williams, which have semi-automatic transmissions. With a manual transmission you will also have to blip or breathe the throttle when shifting.

Ferrari F430 Sport Cats and Catbypass Pipes;
1. Remove rear undercar diffuser/ hatch cover- that is located underneath the rear bumper. You will need a 10mm hex head socket and allen socket. You NOW have complete access to your F430 exhaust system.
2. Open side of the muffler flange- lift out muffler and put aside.
3. Cover the F430 exhaust tips with bubble wrap or a soft cloth to protect the paint in the tip body outlets.
4. Remove both F430 rear wheels and then remove rear plastic covers that are held on with screws. This gives you complete access to the exhaust tips.
5. From exhaust tips in place. Then remove the 3 bolts on the back of the transmission that allow you to lift out the complete muffler bracket
assembly. Put aside.
