1 Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit.
2 Unclip and remove the center console trim panel. (Figure A)
3 Unclip the center dash trim panel. (Figure B)
4 Remove (4) screws securing the radio. Disconnect and remove the radio. (Figure C)
5 Remove (3) screws securing the radio rear support bracket and remove the bracket. (Figure D)
Continue to kit assembly.

Dodge Nitro 2007
1 Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit.
2 Unclip entire panel surrounding radio and climate controls, including a/c vents. Unplug and remove panel.

Route and connect the other end of the fuel line with the 90o fitting to the fuel inlet fitting just installed on the VP-44. When tightening the swivel fitting, use a back up wrench on the 12 mm fitting to preventing breaking it. Route and connect the other end of the fuel line with the 90o fitting to the fuel inlet fitting just installed on the CP-3. When tightening the swivel, use a back up wrench on the 8mm fitting to preventing breaking it. Remove the original fuel suction line Quick Connect fitting from fuel tank by squeezing the tabs on the end of the connector together. Consult factory manual if unsure. In More Detail To release the quick-connect fitting from the fuel tank suction tube, push the fitting toward the suction tube while firmly holding the plastic retainer ring into the fitting. With the plastic ring firmly depressed, pull the fitting assembly from the suction tube. Use care to hold the retainer ring square to the Quick Connect Fitting body. It may be difficult to disconnect the fitting if the retainer is cocked or becomes cocked during removal. Very Important: After removing the factory line check to make sure that the blue plastic retainer was removed with the line. If the blue retainer remained attached to the tank tube, it MUST be removed before the new fuel line Quick Connect will connect and seat to the tank suction tube….

Connect the ‘New Fuel Line’ Quick Connect fitting to the fuel tank suction tube by carefully pushing the Quick Connect Fitting squarely onto the tank supply tube. Place retaining clip in the slots of the quick connect to secure connection. Double check the connection for seating. The AirDog® 150 includes a ½” High Flow suction tube to accommodate the high flows of this system. To install the ½ suction tube it is necessary to either drop the fuel tank or to lift the Dodge truck bed. NOTE: Should you choose to drop the fuel tank, support the tank as it is when it is installed
on the truck. If you let it rest flat on the floor, the tank may squash out and the suction tube will be too short after the tank is re-installed in the truck. The suction tube, being cut too short may suck air as the fuel drops below ¼ tank level….

NOTE: Should you choose to pull the pickup bed to access the tank. Be sure to disconnect the tail light wires, fuel tank filler tube, and any other accessories or components that may be secured to the frame and bed.

Remove the grille frame screws. The grille assembly consists of two pieces, the grille frame and the grille (Fig. 3). Both must be removed from the Matt Dodge to release the grille. Use a low-profile Philips screwdriver (Fig. 1) to remove the four screws that secure the grille assembly to the bumper. The locations of these screws are shown in Fig. 4.

Remove grille assembly from bumper. Once the four screws are removed from the grille assembly, the grille frame is still held in place by four tabs along its perimeter. These tabs are visible from inside the engine compartment (Fig. 5). Insert a slotted screwdriver between the grille frame and the bumper at the outside of the vehicle (Fig. 6.), and gently pry the grille frame from the bumper by freeing each of the four tabs as you work your way around the grille frame. Separate the grille from the grille frame. First free the outsides of the grille from the frame by inserting a slotted screwdriver between the grille and the frame at the tab clips (Fig. 7.1), and pry upward until the grill slot is free of the retaining lip on the frame tab (Fig. 7.2).

Next, use two slotted screwdrivers to free the inner clips, as demonstrated in Fig. 8 and Fig. 9. The grille should now be separated from the grille frame. Prepare the grille frame for installation. Drill a 1/8” hole in each of the sixteen frame tabs that held the stock grille in place. Be sure to place the hole against the retaining lip on the finished side of the lip, as shown in Fig. 10. Note: The holes drilled in the frame do not affect the fit or appearance of the stock grille, should you desire to reinstall it in the future; the holes are completely hidden.

The Edge EZ Module is an add-on Engine Control Module (ECM) for the Cummins® 5.9L Engine that offers additional features not available on a stock engine. Since it is an “add on” ECM, it uses all the factory data, and then enhances the factory settings to optimize your truck’s performance. The EZ module offers a power increase over stock throughout the RPM range, but the power is most noticeable in midrange RPM’s. This greatly improves drivability and towing performance. Transmission downshifting is greatly reduced, especially while passing or towing.

Module Installation The Edge EZ Module can mount on the flat black plastic fuse box cover located in the engine compartment on the driver’s side fender. Attach the module to the truck using the supplied VELCRO® strips, allowing enough harness movement for removal of the cover.

MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Connection
1. Connect the supplied MAP sensor wiring harness to the main wiring harness in the engine compartment. Disconnect the stock wiring harness at the MAP sensor located on top of the intake manifold. Plug the supplied MAP sensor connector into the stock engine MAP sensor and the stock engine wiring harness connector into the supplied MAP sensor connector. Fuel Pressure Sensor Connection
2. Disconnect the stock wiring harness at the sensor located on the main fuel rail on the driver’s side towards the rear of the engine. Plug the supplied pressure sensor connector into the stock pressure sensor on the engine and the stock engine wiring harness connector into the
supplied pressure sensor connector.
3. Recheck all connections, fittings and fasteners for a properly secure installation.
4. Using the supplied wire ties, secure the wiring harness from possible damage from moving engine parts.

Adjusting Power Levels The Edge EZ Module offers 3 levels of power beyond stock. The power from the Edge EZ Module begins by plugging the module into your truck. The power levels are adjusted by changing the “in cab” switch level position to the level you need. Adjusting power levels on an EZ module has never been Tab EZier! Refer to the power level switch picture for position and power level selection.

To remove stock exhaust remove it from the clamp located in front of your stock muffler. Now cut off your stock tailpipe just behind the muffler and remove.leave all rubber grommets on the hanger. Use wd-40 to aid in removal of exhaust and hangers. Install muffler assembly #a onto
stock pipe 1-1/2” to 2”. Slide welded hangers into rubber grommets you may need to adjust welded hangers to fit into your grommets.

Use a jackstand to support your muffler. Use clamp #b to secure it to your headpipe. Do not tighten install your stainless tips. Tighten all clamps after you make sure your tailpipes are level.

TRIPLE-TECT™ SEAL: (If no Installation tools available)
1. Slide one of the V-ring seals onto the shaft making sure lip is toward the bearing. Install seal ring onto the shaft with relation to housing as shown. NOTE: Do not install V-ring seal on seal ring at this time. (For direct mount, large V-ring is installed first.)
2. Mount bearing on shaft using appropriate mounting instructions.
3. Install second seal ring onto the shaft with relation to housing as shown in Figure 3.
4. Slide second V-ring seal onto shaft making sure lip is toward the bearing. NOTE: Do not install V-ring seal on seal ring at this time (Figure 3a).
5. Thoroughly clean seal ring grooves and mating surfaces on both housing halves. Mount housing base to framework. Pack seal grooves with grease. Place shaft with bearing in housing base using appropriate instructions. Guide seal rings into housing grooves. Grease cap seal grooves and the seal rings. Tighten cap to base.
6. Assure there is adequate running clearance between seal rings and housing groove. Rotate shaft. If there is binding, realign pillow block. Install V-ring seals on seal rings and against housing as shown. NOTE: V-ring seal lips must not be turned under inside of housing bore. If they are, remove and reinstall.
7. Apply a thick coat of grease to any exposed surface of the V-ring seal.

TRIPLE-TECT™ SEAL: (If installation tools available)
1. Install a V-ring seal on each seal ring with the lip on V-ring facing the large OD of the seal ring (Figure 4).
2. Slide one of the seal assemblies on the shaft to the proper location for assembly into the housing. The lip of the V-ring seal must face the bearing (Figure 4).
3. Mount bearing in its proper position on shaft using appropriate mounting instructions.
4. Slide the second seal assembly on shaft to the proper location. The lip of the V-ring seal must face the bearing.
5. Place one of the installation tools between the lip of the V-ring seal and the center ring on the seal ring (Figure 4a). Repeat the procedure for the second seal assembly. Rotate the tool(s) to the lower position to facilitate assembly of the bearing and seal(s) into the housing base (Figure 4a).
Thoroughly clean seal grooves and mating surfaces on both housing halves. Mount housing base to framework. Pack seal grooves with grease.
7. Locate the bearing and seal assembly into the housing base (Figure 4b). Make sure the seal assembly turns freely in the base by rotating shaft. See bearing mounting instructions for proper grease fill of bearing insert and housing.
8. Move the installation tool(s) to the top position to facilitate the assembly of the housing cap to the base (Figure 4c).
9. Pack the housing cap seal grooves with grease, then install on base. Hand tighten the cap bolts. Rotate the shaft to make sure the seal assembly sits properly in the housing. Remove the installation tool(s) and tighten cap bolts to the proper torque value.
10. Apply a thick coat of grease to any exposed surface of the V-ring seals.

TRIPLE-TECT SEAL INSTALLATION TOOL – to be made by customer per specs below. Two are required for installation of bearing with two seals. This tool keeps the lip of the seal back so it does not get crimped and damaged between the housing halves.
