BMW Sirius Receiver PDF Installation Manual Guide


This is BMW Sirius Receiver Installation Guide for BMW X5 (E53) with navigation. This guide is meant to complement the BMW installation instructions that came with the installation of the Sirius receiver for BMW X5 (E53) with navigation. I chose the Terk SIR3 low-profile magnetic mount antenna mounted in the spoiler.

As a result of these instructions will not work on the installation of the BMW Sirius Satellite Antenna and you should use the instructions that came with the BMW Sirius Satellite Antenna Kit, if you decide to go this route. I have no signal loss or poor reception with the antenna in the spoiler and would recommend it if you want to stealth and not pushy like the shape of the BMW Sirius antenna on the roof.

You can also try the BMW Sirius Satellite Antenna in the spoiler, but it is too big to be there. I tried to order the antenna cover to make room, but could not pull back the weather stripping to the Torx screws. Cost wise, the Terk SIR3 and SIR-SP splitter will cost about $ 65 plus tax and can be purchased from Best Buy, Circuit City, Crutchfield, advice, audio or your local stores.

The BMW Satellite roof antenna is available in retail at $ 125.00 and is available for only $ 93.60 from Pacific BMW, Circle BMW, Crevier BMW or. It takes me about 3 hours to the project, and most of the time was spent on the assembly of the Terk SIR3 antenna on the spoiler and Fisheries, the antenna lead through the rubber seals (about 1 ½ hours). But I also wanted to donate my time and do it right, especially not rushing through the procedure and bend or crimp antenna leads.
