Our Hummer system is constructed much like all of our IFS systems with extended steering knuckles and high clearance crossmembers but the differences stop there. To properly address the H2’s fulltime transfer case we include a CV style front driveshaft with this system to provide smooth driveline operation. Also unique to this system is two 1/4” thick skid plates, one for the front differential and one for the transfer case. Rear lift on factory air bag H2’s comes from a super stout bag spacer while coil spring models receive replacement coil springs that are driver and passenger specific.
1. This installation requires a professional mechanic.
2. We recommend referencing a Nissan factory service manual when installing this system as it will contain information not covered in this instruction packet.
3. Before installation, we recommend complete inspection of the vehicle’s tie rod ends, ball joints, wheel bearings, universal joints and any other serviceable items before installation of this system. It is imperative to replace all worn items as it can affect the performance of the vehicle and CALMINI is in no way responsible for the failure of factory or replaceable components.
4. Fully read the supplied instructions before attempting installation. This will allow you to gauge your knowledge of the kit and determine if it should be installed at home.
5. Check and recheck all received items immediately upon receipt of the system to ensure all items were properly received and that no components were lost or damaged in shipping. CALMINI is not responsible for lost or damaged items through shipping. CALMINI is not responsible for any delays caused or fees incurred, by damaged or lost items in shipping. We will work with UPS to make sure the necessary components are sent if the situation arises.
6. Be sure that you have all required tools necessary to complete the installation including, but not limited to: lift (floor-jack), jack stands (4), wheel blocks, etc.
7. Before working underneath any vehicle ensure that the vehicle’s wheels are properly blocked and that the frame is supported in the correct location by a competent jack stand.
8. ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES DURING THE ENTIRE INSTALLATION OF THIS SYSTEM!
9. Torque specifications for the necessary hardware has been noted in the instructions where required. Reference supplied chart as a general guide or reference the factory service manual for those torque specifications not called out.
10.Note that every effort has been made to ensure that all components will install on your vehicle without any modifications. It is not uncommon on today’s vehicles for the frame and corresponding cross-member to move slightly upon disassembly and re-installation. For this reason, it is common to use pry bars and alignment punches to secure these aftermarket components to the vehicle. Modification of any CALMINI components will void any/all warranty on the part

Before Starting Installation
NOTE Kit parts are prefaced by the word kit and appear in bold print.
1. Carefully read all warnings and instructions completely before beginning.
2. Verify all parts have been received in this kit by checking the parts list at the end of this document.
3. This suspension system is designed to be used with wheels with a backspacing of 3-3/4” or less. Wheels with greater then 3-3/4” backspacing including some factory wheels will interfere with upper control arm and cause damage to OE parts and/or tires. Distance from hub mating surface of rim to the sidewall of tire can not exceed 4-1/2”.
4. Exhaust modification:
a. Cross over pipe alteration is necessary to accommodate this suspension system on 6 cylinder models.
b. Trail Master offers kit NX3O accessory to perform this modification.
5. This suspension system is not recommended on extended cab models with 2 piece driveshafts.
6. On 4 cylinder and some 6 cylinder models (with R180A front differential carrier) differential cover will contact lower control arm bracketry. On these vehicles, kit #8040 is required in addition to the suspension kit to reposition the front differential carrier.
7. Only install this kit on the vehicle for which it is specified. If anytime during the installation you encounter something different from what is outlined in the instructions, call technical support at (928) 636-3175.
8. Special tools needed:
a. Ball joint separator
b. Torque wrench
c. Coil Spring Compressor
9. Park vehicle on a clean, dry, flat, level surface and block tires so vehicle cannot roll in either direction. Ride Height (For IFS w/ torsion bars)
NOTE Ride height measurements are essential for final torsion bar adjustment following the installation of this kit.
1. Measure ride height with the vehicle supporting its own weight on level ground. To settle the suspension, the vehicle should be driven forward at least 10 feet immediately prior to taking these measurements. Ride height is the measurement from the center of the axle straight up (vertical) to the fender lip. Record this measurement for all four wheels.
It is complemented by the aptly-named Pickup, a two – or four – wheel drive workhorse that combines car-like driving attributes with the practicality of a large open load area. Appealing to younger and older drivers alike, the Pickup is equally at home in the fields or forests as it is on the beach or the ski slopes. Next comes the Primastar, like the Kubistar a product of the Nissan-Renault Alliance. Primastar operates in the 2.5 to 2.8 tonne category and offers a wide choice of model with two lengths and two heights available. Three powerful common-rail diesels and one petrol engine complete the option list.
